Seattle-raised and now Los Angeles-based singer, songwriter and producer Drew Harvey blends pop and R&B with elements of electronic music, and finds it impossible to write anything positive in his songs. His latest single “Ambitious”, an impressive collaboration with Canadian artist Jazzfeezy is neither sad nor uplifting but it balances dark undertones with a sleek production and catchy melodies.
“I like to tie in wordplay (punch lines) and deeper concepts or emotional content. This record plays with the idea of changing priorities and personal/relationship confusion.
