Dirt Flirt – focus on u

Dirt Flirt leans into obsession on a shimmering alt-pop single with a darker pulse underneath.

There is something instantly addictive about “focus on u”, the new single from London alt-pop artist Dirt Flirt. The project of multi-instrumentalist Kit Eaton-Kent, Dirt Flirt has a strong instinct for melody and feeling. On this release, that instinct sharpens into something both playful and intense.

Built on shimmering hooks and emotional fixation, “focus on u” captures the strange tunnel vision of falling for someone. It understands the way one person can suddenly take up all the space. That sense of devotion gives the track its shape, but there is tension underneath it too. The song feels catchy and immediate, without ever becoming too sweet.

That balance makes it a strong entry point into scorpio fever, Dirt Flirt’s forthcoming EP via Final Girl Records. Across five tracks, the project promises a darker and more concept-driven side to Kit’s songwriting. It follows the stages of a relationship, moving from secrecy and intensity toward honesty and fallout.

Dirt Flirt works well in that dual space. The sound is dark yet danceable, vulnerable yet slyly self-aware. With introspective lyricism and a clear instinct for hooks, Kit is building a compelling place within contemporary alt-pop.

“focus on u” feels glossy on first listen, but there is enough emotional undertow to keep it lingering.
