HighSchool — Accelerator [EP]

Naarm/Melbourne-raised, London-based post-punk duo HighSchool release new EP Accelerator

Aussie duo HighSchool recently signed to [PIAS], and today they’ve released their five-track EP, Accelerator, the follow up to 2021 debut EP Forever At Last. The EP is a thoroughly enjoyable project which showcases the duo’s evolution and growth as artists.

Produced by rising London producer Finn Billingham, mixed by GRAMMY-winning engineer Philippe Weiss (Earl Sweatshirt, Nas, Drake) and mastered by Blur and Depeche Mode producer Ben Hillier, the EP delves into emotionally-charged territory, exploring themes of unrequited love, heartbreak and self-discovery. Drawing inspiration from a diverse range of genres, they effortlessly blend post-punk with elements of bedroom pop, indie rock and dream pop— creating a sound that is uniquely their own.

As they continue to carve out their own path in the music industry, HighSchool’s future looks brighter than ever. Accelerator is a bold statement from a duo on the rise, and it’s clear that their journey is only just the beginning.
