Every single music writer has their own way of writing about music, some prefer to go in depth and others like to keep it short but effective. For this sole post, I’m going to do something different, I’ll be reviewing BRIDGE’s new single “Around”, from a fans perspective, as I am of course, a fan of his music. Los Angeles-based singer-songwriter BRIDGE is an artist I’ve been a fan of since he dropped his impressive debut “Roll My Weed” featuring ScHoolboy Q back in 2014. He has gone on to release some of my favourite songs of all time such as “Save Me” and “Break the Rules”, which helped me get through a difficult period. And it still surprises me that he’s not one of the biggest artists on the planet. I mean have people not heard his vocals? This guy can really SING for real. Better than a lot of people’s favourite artists. And his songs are amazing, he hasn’t dropped a bad song, ever.
BRIDGE has also showed the world how easy it is for him to create a mainstream song. His collaboration with DVBBS and the captivating garage banger “CD2001”prove that. Anyway, back to his brand new single. “Around” is built over an infectious guitar-infused production which slowly develops into a vibrant production— one that could get a dancefloor moving. BRIDGE delivers an alluring vocal performance sung with so much emotion. “Around” is a beautiful song, it’s one of those songs you need to listen to from start to finish, and one that should be added to every listeners shower playlist— have a little concert in the shower like I do. This is a vibe, BRIDGE, if you ever read this: come to the UK and Europe, we’ll appreciate you more.
