Ever since he got his first camcorder 21 year-old Icelandic singer, photographer and videographer Tómas Welding has been observing musicians through his lens. A year ago he decided to pick up a microphone and start singing, despite not being taken seriously by his friends. After they heard his debut single “Sideways” — they realised his talent.
His impressive new single “Cop Car” was co-written and produced with one of Iceland’s top producers Pálmi Ragnar Ásgeirsson. Combining an infectious pop and R&B sound throughout, Welding has delivered a sensational single — an emotionally-charged record that has mass appeal. He delivers an excellent vocal performance reminiscent of the likes of Khalid and Bazzi.
