Rising star Shaker ascends out of darkness and into futuristic neon lights on new single “Easier”.
It’s been over a year since we randomly discovered Shaker’s music on SoundCloud— in the past year he has blessed us with memorable releases such as “Next”, “In the Dark”, the excellent Gervs-assisted “Nowhere” and one of our favourite songs of the year “Out of Love”. As curators/tastemakers with a small but loyal following we’re often ignored by artists we feature as we’re not as big as the likes of Complex, FADER etc. However, with Shaker it’s been nothing but love since we first featured him— he’s a man of great humility, if there was ever an award for the nicest guy in music then he would be right up in the list.
Having taken some time away from music to heal from past traumas and deal with recent global events, emerging singer, songwriter and producer Shaker makes his return to the spotlight with his stunning new single “Easier”. On “Easier”, he takes listeners on a trip through his thoughts and memories from the past few months, and finding light in the darkest moments. Shaker’s alluring voice has always been his weapon, and he once again delivers an exceptional vocal performance over the mesmerising production by longtime producer and friend Cobra.
