Louis and The Shakes Shine On Debut EP “Late Night Stereo”

Guitar music is still alive and well, thanks to rising and talented emerging bands coming out of the UK such as Louis and The Shakes. The foursome had a successful 2018, which saw frontman Louis perform live on BBC Introducing, they also appeared on The Crypt Sessions and performed a number of prolific gigs and festival slots including OnBlackheath Festival.

On their debut EP Late Night Stereo, the band depict tales of heartbreak and despair with an alternative bluesy sound that has a universal appeal. Despite its strong American-feel throughout, the EP is an impressive start for an emerging band as they showcase their high standard of musicianship. Lead singer Louis’ breathtaking vocals is the real winner here as he croons over bluesy instrumentations brilliantly, such as the excellent standout track “Lonesomeville” — which sounds better and better after every listen.
