HEN$HAW unleashes drill-infused new single “WHERE DID THE TIME GO”
Emerging London-based rapper HEN$HAW has often showcased his versatility as a rapper and MC, releasing memorable cuts such as the garage-tinged “LOWKEY”, grime-infused “COZY”, and even the punk-rap banger “GO YARD”. Coming from an alt-rap/community, he’s seen as a flag bearer due to influence and his songs inspiring countless artists within his scene to step their game up as rap artists.
And despite recent support form notable outlets such as GRM Daily, Mixtape Madness and Link Up TV, the Camden rapper still feels underrated and overlooked. On his latest offering “WHERE DID THE TIME GO”, he delivers a rapid-fire flow over a drill-infused production by longtime friend and frequent goodbyechase. His in-your-face lyrics send out a clear message to anyone who has ever doubted him over the years. The hard-hitting record is another reminder of HEN$HAW’s raw talent and superior lyrical ability.
“The original idea for this tune came about after watching a film and hearing a sick guitar sample which we immediately thought to sample, and from there goodbyechase made the beat for ‘WHERE DID THE TIME GO’. In terms of writing the song I wanted to test out some quicker flows on the bounce of UK drill inspired production, while also staying true to myself in the lyrics. I feel like anyone who’s had been through a challenge in life could relate to it in their own way” — HEN$HAW.
