GiGi Polar confronts emotional numbness on gritty new single “FXCK THIS LIFE”
London-based, Swiss-born, German-Indonesian artist GiGi Polar returns with his most personal release to date, “FXCK THIS LIFE”, a raw and reflective single exploring emotional numbness, late night isolation and the quiet collapse that often follows burnout.
Released via our label + artist management division Nü Inc. Sound, the track blends post-punk and alt-pop elements with lo-fi textures and a haunting vocal performance. Inspired by artists like EKKSTACY and ThxSoMch, Gigi Polar carves out his own sound—icy, introspective and brutally honest.
Speaking on the track, he explains: “It wasn’t anger or sadness—it was indifference. That weird place where you stop caring, not because you want to, but because you’re too tired to keep feeling anything at all.” That sense of quiet detachment is felt throughout the track and reinforced by the accompanying Kai-directed visual, which captures the mood in stark, moody and isolated imagery.
