London-based singer-songwriter Alicia Clifford releases new single “Smokescreen”
Alicia Clifford is making waves with her delicate indie folk sound and raw emotional honesty. At just 22, she’s already captivated audiences with her soft vocals, poetic lyrics and intricate guitar work.
Her new single “Smokescreen” explores the illusion of love and the painful realisation of not truly knowing someone. Inspired by a lyric from her grandfather, the track showcases her gift for storytelling through vulnerability. “It’s terrifying to write so openly”, she says, “but I know I’m not alone in these feelings.”
After releasing two singles in 2024, Alicia is building a strong following and working on her debut EP. With support from artists like Sam Fender and Nieve Ella, she’s quickly becoming one of the most promising indie folk artists in the UK.
