Vancouver-based artist B00sted releases new single “Selfish” alongside accompanying music video
Hailing from Vancouver, Canada, 21 year-old rapper, producer, and singer-songwriter B00sted is known for his rapid-fire flows to strong melodies. He’s just dropped the music video for “Selfish”, the title track of his latest EP.
Against the backdrop of lush, vibrant forests, the music video was inspired by the filming locations of the movie Rambo: First Blood in Hope, BC which is about an hour east to his hometown of Mission, BC. The concept of the music video was that an enigmatic character is on a quest to find him, symbolising the inescapable consequences that arise from acting selfishly.
The song itself is a bop with replay value, and the best track on the EP. B00sted effortlessly showcases his immense potential by creating a relatable track laced with sticky melodies. The stunning production which sits somewhere between pop and indie, is a perfect match for his captivating vocals.
