South London electronic pop duo Rumara share new single “Crown”
Formed in South London back in 2019, electronic pop duo Rumara’s name derives from the Portuguese word ‘rumar’, meaning ‘to move towards’, and reflects the restless, ruminative quality of their sound. Their second single “Crown”, taken from their forthcoming debut EP is a brooding dark-pop piece that’s worth a listen from start to finish. Vocalist Laura V’s hauntingly beautiful vocals flow effortlessly over producer Yujin Matsutoya’s captivating cinematic production. Lyrically, “Crown” is a study of power and heartbreak— how giving someone power over you reveals who they truly are.
