MILA Shares New Single “Heartquake”

MILA is the project of 26 year-old singer, songwriter and bedroom producer Michelle Virginie Albias who hails from Rotterdam in the Netherlands.

After releasing her debut single “Sisters”, MILA fell into a series of panic attacks which meant she had to postpone work on her EP. She has thankfully recovered and is back with two new songs about her dark thoughts and how she managed to overcome them.

“Heartquake” is a dark pop track infused with electronic sounds built over a lush production that places her amongst other exciting artists such as Mothica, BANKS and NYLO. For someone who has come from a dark place, MILA delivers a wonderful vocal performance with relatable lyrics — looking forward to hearing more.

“My new song Heartquake embodies a panic attack. Writing Heartquake gave me the opportunity to give words to the destructive thoughts I was having during a panic attack. They would otherwise be covered up. The B side, Mantra, represents the aftermath and puts the pieces back together”MILA.
