Larlin release new single “Better On Screen”
Brighton-based newcomers Larlin—fronted by Sheffield vocalist and songwriter Maryann Hoar— make a striking return with their second single “Better On Screen”, a brilliant follow up to debut single “Favours”.
Blending soaring guitars and driving drums with Hoar’s stunning vocal delivery, the song explores the strange comfort of distance, the security of the lives we see through digital media — where everything is filtered, polished and safe. There’s a subtle melancholy at play, but it’s wrapped in lush, confident production that never slips into overstatement.
