Canadian singer-songwriter Jayde returns with new single “Electricity”, accompanied by a music video.
We’ve kept our eyes peeled on rising Canadian act Jayde since our friends over at The Press Release introduced us to her music towards the end of 2018. Her latest offering “Electricity” is her first release in over a year. She developed the song with her producer in Montréal playing around on an old upright piano. Her subconscious took over her lyric writing and words poured out of her — the emotionally-driven song is relatable and features a compelling vocal delivery, now wonder why she’s one of Canada’s most promising artists.
“I keep things inside because I think as soon as you say how you’re feeling out loud it becomes real. When I started writing this song, I realised the gravity of my inner feelings. Reading my lyrics back forced me to make positive changes in my life” — Jayde.
