London-based singer-songwriter Alice D exudes confidence on vibrant new single “Diamond”, the lead single from her upcoming EP.
Emerging artist Alice D has always been surrounded by music, her mother was a singer in Bananarama, and her father was a dancer for the likes of Michael Jackson and Tina Turner. She’s been carving out a name for herself within the music industry with a number of solid releases, often combining multiple genres such as R&B, pop, EDM and more. Influenced by artists such as Aaliyah, Brandy, Kelela and Banks, she returns with new single “Diamond”, a vibrant R&B track which effortlessly infuses pop and flamenco pop. Lyrically, the song is about self-acceptance, fiercely embracing all our flaws and still shining like gold. We’ve heard numerous empowerment songs this month, and “Diamond” is definitely up there with the best of them. Exuding confidence throughout, and delivering an alluring vocal performance, Alice D is at her very best on the AKA Block-produced track, and we’re excited to hear her upcoming EP which is set for release in April.
