YAOUNDÉBOXINGCLUB — “25”

YAOUNDÉBOXINGCLUB says goodbye to her past self on new single “25”

London-based French-Cameroonian artist and producer YAOUNDÉBOXINGCLUB returns with new single “25”. Written, recorded, mixed and mastered entirely by herself, the track reflects on a turbulent year of growth and letting go.

Blending elements of indie pop, rock and nostalgic pop punk, “25” channels the sound of the bands she grew up listening to, while telling a very present and personal story. Mid-tempo and guitar-driven, the song finds YAOUNDÉBOXINGCLUB saying goodbye to a version of herself she’s outgrown.

“My 25th year has been a rollercoaster, and I needed to write a song about it to fully process what I’d been through. It’s about realising that change is necessary, even if it’s uncomfortable. This song is a farewell to my past self.”YAOUNDÉBOXINGCLUB.
