HEN$HAW and tmdistant reflect on isolation in new single “DIE ALONE”
Embedded in traditional hip-hop tones mixed with a melancholic touch, “DIE ALONE” is the latest offering from London-based emerging rapper HEN$HAW and Essex singer-songwriter tmdistant that details the experience of isolation and loneliness regardless if you have people around you. The 21 year-old Camden rapper has gained a reputation for his expansive lyricism and subject matter which has resonated with people from a working class background. “DIE ALONE” is the second single taken from his forthcoming debut EP SITTIN’ IN THE DARK, which is set for release this summer.
“The words of this song came from isolation and loneliness, when you feel that down it can often make you question those around you, even if you know they have your best interest at heart. I wanted me and TM to collaborate again on something people wouldn’t really expect, considering they are used to hearing us on hard hitting, gritty instrumentals, we both know how to make a more emotionally driven track and we brought that to the table this time around.” — HEN$HAW.
HEN$HAW headlines Colours Hoxton on Wednesday 10th August. Tickets go on sale Friday 17th June. Link to purchase here.
