Brighton-based German-Irish singer-songwriter vi0let releases stunning new R&B track “Deceptive”
Born in Germany, singer-songwriter vi0let spent her early years in Ireland singing, performing and immersing herself in the Irish culture— her father’s country of origin. When she returned to Germany she started to showcase her immense potential. At the age of 14, she appeared on The Voice Kids Germany, drawing praise from the judges, the audience and her performance videos have accumulated over 30 million views on YouTube.
She has spent the past three years in the UK, based between Brighton and London, where she writes, records and performs her own music. This year, she has showcased her versatility with the pop-infused female empowerment anthem “Ignite”, and the emotionally-driven “Toxic City”. Today, she returns with her stunning new single “Deceptive”— a fun and lighthearted song that details the art of flirtation, but also the scary feeling of being so open and honest with someone you’re getting to know.
Her luscious vocals float beautifully over the soulful production by Matthew Sperring. Overall, “Deceptive” is a smooth track cushioned with bluesy melodies that will connect with soul and R&B lovers around the world. vi0let headlines The Camden Assembly on 24th October 2021, get your tickets here.
“Deceptive describes the process of meeting that special someone who you just know wants you as much as you want them. It’s a flirty, cheeky and endearing insight to what the “chase” phase can sometimes feel like. It’s a fun but also scary feeling to be so open and honest with someone you’re getting to know, hence why “I can be deceiving” in certain moments” — vi0let.
