Lil Heart Eyes shares new single “rdy 2 die”, taken off her self-titled debut EP.
For those who know me, you know how much I dislike hyperpop music— a genre that had a lot of potential to be great but has recently been plagued by former SoundCloud rappers trying their luck and often failing badly. Sorry not sorry. So why am I posting a hyperpop song then? Well, Lil Heart Eyes did something special on her latest drop “rdy 2 die”. Combining elements of trap and hyperpop (and doing it very well), the emerging artist has dropped an infectiously catchy song that you’ll struggle to dislike no matter what style of music you’re into. Although there is still room for improvement lyric wise, Lil Heart Eyes has a lot of potential and she showcases that here with catchy melodies and a good ear for production.
