Being in the same community as artists we work with such as HEN$HAW, Tm & Remy, Tom Did It etc, we’ve always kept a close eye on the genre-blending London-based artist KDVSGOLIATH. Last year, he won us over with the stunning emotionally-driven alt-rap track “PINK”— a song we placed at number 5 on our Top 100 songs of 2020. And he’s back again, this time with his second release of the year, “SAD”.
Once again showcasing his versatility, he sounds comfortable on the pop, emo and punk-infused “SAD”— another emotionally-charged song with replay value. Lyrically, the song tells the story of a young man getting in his own way while in a relationship. The single is taken from his upcoming EP Bipolar, due out on 17th July.
“I made this song a few days after meeting my first girlfriend. The relationship was clouded by the fear that I would one day lose her, and that got in the way of me being able to love her properly…My love became a burden and it drove me to let her go.” — KDVSGOLIATH.
