CyberGirlfriend — katie marie

Indie-pop duo CyberGirlfriend unveil new single “katie marie”

Comprising of life-long internet best friends bri flasch and kiddest sinke, indie-pop duo CyberGirlfriend have been releasing their music without the help of any major record label or PR team. But that could possibly change because their new song “katie marie” has the potential to be their breakthrough single. The guitar-heavy track features captivating vocal melodies throughout and an infectious hook— it also marks an exciting transition away from their past cheerful, synth-heavy pop sound. The song was written during a road trip through the Pacific Northwest, and is inspired by their childhood struggles growing up as outcasts in not-so-inclusive suburban towns. “katie marie” is an anthemic song most of us outsiders in this world will be able to relate to. The single is taken off their upcoming debut EP, which is due out 21st July.
