Born in Auckland, New Zealand, Tokyo-based artist Calumecs is a multifaceted artist, musician, model and also the founder of Tokyo-based artist collective Dosing. Playing an active role in the Tokyo night life community, he’s known for hosting regular events throughout the region, as well as composing, singing and playing guitar for Trap Metal unit Dreaming of Screaming.
Combining elements of alternative R&B with punk pop lyrics and harmonies, the newcomer delivers an emotional take on Tokyo’s evolving urban culture. It’s a strong start, and we’ll be patiently waiting to hear more. Press play.
